FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions:

Q) Can I bring my dog?

A) Yes you can! We only ask that you do your best cleaning up after them inside and outside the cabin. This cuts down on our cleaning time between guests. Please do not allow your pets on any furniture inside the cabin! When your dog sheds heavily throughout the cabin it drastically increases our cleaning time, so please do your best to cleanup after them. We provide a dog bed, bowls, waste bags and cleaning supplies in the cabin closet. We do not charge additional fees for this, but ask guests to be responsible, which almost everyone is.If your dog is not well behaved, barks continuously or is aggressive, please do not bring them to our cottages. And please keep them on leash while out and around the property. Thanks!

Q) Do we run our hot tubs in the winter?

A) Yes! Our wood fired hot tubs have run on even the coldest of winter days. In our two years of operation, we have never not had them operational. It takes more work on our part, but we are committed to having them warm upon your arrival.

Q) Can I book one night?

A) Single night stays will only be considered last minute if we have availability. There is an additional $50 charge for single nights, based on the original nightly rates. Last minute discounted rates do not apply as there base rate for single night stays. We have a two-night minimum all year, with a three night minimum on long weekends. During the summer months you'll see a four night minimum stay. This is to accommodate travellers who often book longer stays with us during the summer. As our calendar fills up, we release the remaining dates for the minimum two night stay.

Q) Can I get married on your property?

A) Several people have gotten married here when only having a small group of family or friends as guests. We do not mind this at all, but we ask guests that they book all the cabins during their wedding so other guests are not disrupted by this. We recommend reaching out well in advance if you'd like to have a small wedding on site. Fees apply for onsite weddings.

Q) Do we provide free firewood for campfires?

A) No, we do not provide firewood to guests for the fire pit. We do provide free wood in the woodshed for guests to use in the hot tubs. We don't mind if guests burn up any loose wood laying around their cabin. Several locals sell wood along the side of the road and the Ultramar just a few minutes away sells firewood.

Do we charge additional fees for guests, pets, hot tubs or cleaning?

A) No, we do not have any additional charges for the above. However, we ask guests to always be respectful of cabin rules, as we provide tremendous value to our guests by not charging for any of the above, and we hope to keep it that way!

Q) Do we take group bookings?

A) Yes, we do, however, we encourage you to book well in advance if you'd like multiple cabins on the same dates. Our weekends book up several months in advance, so plan ahead if you'd like to book more than one cabin at a time. Contact us for details and we can help facilitate this.

Q) Do we use chemicals in the hot tub?

A) No we do not. We empty and refill the hot tubs before every new guest arrives, so the water in your hot tub will be fresh from the well upon your arrival. During longer stays we will offer to change your hot tub water to keep if fresh if you like! It takes about an hour and a half to empty, refill and light your tub for you. They take 1.5-3 hours to heat back up to temperature depending on the time of year. Wood fired hot tubs do not have filters. If you have lotions oneself tanners, or have not showered prior to using the tub, the water will discolour sooner than it would if you shower before use.

A) We do not have designated chargers at the moment, but can help facilitate getting you a 20 AMP plug to use. We hope to have an EV charger in the plans for 2023/2024 expansion.

A) No we do not. We hope to have laundry available to guests in 2024.
